Nick came over to my flat in Maida Vale for this shoot. I was surprised that he was in a light coloured suit, it was the first time I had seem him dressed in anything but black. He hadn’t been there before, and he spent more than half an hour saying nothing just walking around looking a things soaking up the odd collection of books, art and objects that I have accumulated over the years. After a while he settled down and we started the photographs. He seemed very relaxed and at ease and talked comfortably during the session. I liked this shot, he settled into position naturally and was reflecting, which have him an air that was somehow priest-like. Its very peaceful and focussed.
