“Still in the relatively early stages of her career, Madonna arrived at Holborn Studios in London with a hefty entourage of brash, noisy New Yorkers, which was quite unusual at the time. But it quickly became obvious that here was someone exceptional. She knew exactly what look she wanted and what she wanted to get out of the session and was certainly nothing like the average British female pop stars we were used to dealing with at the studio. Even so, I don’t think any of us could have predicted at the time just how big a star she would go on to become worldwide”
