“This session with the fabulous Tina Turner holds a special place in my memory. The idea of the chained leg was a bit of fun, a jokey reflection on the powerfully-voiced singer’s dominant stage presence. Getting a male volunteer to provide a shapely disembodied leg was not too difficult. In fact, the limb selected actually belonged to one of the music industry’s most celebrated publicists, who pulled rank on all the more junior candidates eager to get the gig!”
