Ian Dickson recalls ‘Taken on 7 January 1973 with the connivance of Bob Brown, Newcastle City Hall’s manager. Bowie’s management had put a freeze on any unofficial photography, so, with the help of a steward’s armband, a torch and instructions to be “discreet”, I was able to capture Ziggy in all his glory and got my first ever scoop!’
