“I had photographed every artist appearing at Live8 in my studio backstage but was convinced it wouldn’t be complete because I never imagined Pink Floyd would ever come in for a group picture. The bands disagreements were very well known so it did seem unlikely they would line up for me. But at the end of that very long night as were considering taking down our lights Pink Floyd walked into the studio and actually stood together for what turned out to be the very last image taken of the band.”
